Welcome to eVIEW, where the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles (TxDMV) seeks your input on proposed specialty license plate designs. You can review and share feedback below.
The current eVIEW is open until Monday, March 27, 2023, at 12:00 p.m.
The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles approves and oversees the manufacture of personalized and specialty license plates. The department reviews designs submitted by the specialty plate marketing vendor and/or non-profit organizations, ensuring license plates meet safety and legibility requirements.
Some plates are available directly from TxDMV while others are offered by My Plates, the State's specialty plate marketing vendor. The Texas Department of Motor Vehicles supplies the system to collect and to distribute plate proceeds and to assign license plates to vehicles.
For more information on how specialty license plates are proposed, see our brochure.
