Make an Appointment

NEW: At certain locations, dealers, title service companies, and their runners are eligible to book appointments by selecting ‘Motor Vehicle Dealers’ or ‘Title Companies and Runners’ from the Appointment Type menu on the appointment page.

At all other locations, dealers, title service companies, and their runners are not eligible to book appointments.

Some offices may limit the quantity of transactions which may be processed at one time by these entities.

  • For driver license and ID card information please visit the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) at https://www.dps.texas.gov/DriverLicense/. TxDMV does not issue driver licenses or IDs.

Services Offered

TxDMV regional service centers provide specific services to the public, including:

  • Replacement Titles
  • Bonded Title Rejection Letters
  • Apportioned Registration (IRP Credentials and Temporary Operating Authority for Established Accounts)
  • Investigating and Resolving Texas Title Errors
  • Vehicle Transfer Notifications
  • Title History Inquiries

Office Hours and Locations

All regional service centers are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. local time, Monday through Friday, except for holidays when all state agencies are closed and staff development days.

Most vehicle title and registration services are provided by your county tax office. You can locate your county tax office with the Find Your Local Tax Office resource available at https://www.TXDMV.gov.
